BEACON LODGE
District 14 B Lions have supported the camp since its inception. Our district has its own dormitory building at the camp and recently has updated it and its complete with ADA equipment. Clubs are encouraged to belong to the “500 Club” (formerly known as the 365 Club) and donate a minimum of $5.00 for each member in its club. MORE INFORMATION
BLIND BOWLERS TOURNAMENT
The Blind Bowlers Tournament has been in existence for over 34 years. Lions of the District help blind bowlers with this annual tournament fundraiser. MORE INFORMATION
BLIND AND VISION REHABILITATION SERVICES
( formerly PVS – Pittsburgh Vision Services) is located at 1800 West Street, Homestead, PA 15120. District 14 B fully supports BVRS and encourages district clubs to make yearly donations. BVRS believes that every person with vision loss and hearing loss can be taught to use their other senses and the vision that remains to live independently and with confidence. We believe that every blind person can learn adaptive techniques and develop new skills so they may live independently. That philosophy is at the core of all our services and programs. CARNEGIE LIBRARY FOR THE BLIND AND PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED
The Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (LBPH) provides on free loan recorded books and magazines, equipment to play the recordings, large print books, and described videos. MORE INFORMATION
EYE PROSTHESIS
Dr. Walter Tillman of Pittsburgh has continued the tradition of his father before him to provide at least two free eye prosthesis cases per year to needy individuals qualified by the Lions. On a case-by-case basis, he may also offer his services as a reduced rate to those with limited means or insurance coverage to pay a portion. MORE INFORMATION

HEARING & DEAF SERVICES CENTER
The Center for Hearing & Deaf Services, Inc. (HDS) was established in 1920 as the League for the Hard of Hearing to provide social activities for people with a hearing loss. From these modest beginnings, HDS has evolved into southwestern Pennsylvania’s only comprehensive service center for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. MORE INFORMATION

LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION
Contributions to LCIF are a great way to make a difference in people’s lives. Every dollar donated to LCIF goes toward a grant. (The foundation’s administrative costs are paid for by interest on investments.) Every donation helps someone lead a healthier or more productive life. MORE INFORMATION
PENNSYLVANIA LIONS FOUNDATION
The Foundation is a public, non-profit, tax exempt corporation, as described in Section 501 (C ) (3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The Foundation was incorporated as the Charitable arm of the Pennsylvania Lions. The “Mission” of the Foundation is to assist those afflicted with sensory impairment, particularly thoserelating to vision and hearing. To award grants in support of meritorious projects and programs for the sensory impaired and to join with individual Lions Clubs in responding to local community, and regional needs in Pennsylvania. PENNSYLVANIA LIONS HEARING FOUNDATION
To initiate and support research in Pennsylvania on hearing problems covering a range of research from embryonic through adult ages. In keeping with the Lions of Pennsylvania interest on youth activities, special emphasis is encouraged on research to prevent deafness and hearing problems among our youth. PENNSYLVANIA LIONS SIGHT CONSERVATION & EYE RESEARCH FOUNDATION
The Foundation and the Lions of Pennsylvania have made major contributions to Wills Eye Hospital (Philadelphia Pa.), the Pennsylvania Lions Laser Center at the Eye and Ear Institute (Pittsburgh Pa.), the Pennsylvania Lions Low Vision and Research Center (Hershey Pa.), the Center for Molecular Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania, The Scheie Eye Institute and the Molecular and Regulatory Biology Research Laboratory at the Pennsylvania of College Optometry. WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA LIONS HEARING FOUNDATION
The Western Pennsylvania Lions Hearing Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the deaf and hearing impaired by providing funds for research, surgery and hearing aids for those individuals who can benefit from new surgical techniques and devices designed to overcome hearing impairments. Founded more than 120 years ago, no other agency in the western half of the Commonwealth is better equipped to care for and educate blind children with severe concomitant disabilities than the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children.
