District 14 B Goals & Objectives
In order for our district to be successful, we ALL must make increasing membership the number one priority. It is very important that we work together to achieve this goal. Clubs need to support each other in the recruiting of new members and clubs also need to have a membership chairperson and committee committed to increasing their membership.
One of the most effective ways to attract men and women into Lionism is through our actions in the community. As we all know our motto is We Serve. What better way to demonstrate our value to the community than through our service projects? Why not invite a prospective member to help on a service project so that he or she can see the great things that we do in our communities?
As your District Governor, I have list below the following goals and objectives which I feel are important if district 14B is to continue to be a strong and an effective district. I am positive that these goals can be accomplished if we all stretch ourselves a bit.
- Increase membership to 1,000 Lions by the end of the year.
- Reinstate leadership training for Zone Chairpersons, Club Presidents, and Club Secretaries.
- Reinstate orientation programs for new Lions at joint zone meetings
- Target two clubs for revitalization.
- Add a campus club by February 2012.
- Add 2 new Leo Clubs by March 2012.
- Have the Long Range Planning Committee (PDGs) target an area to develop a new Lions Club.
- Create a data base of media contacts (primarily print media) that clubs can use to publicize their events.
- Initiate a district wide tree planting campaign.
Have all clubs in the district support at least one PA Lions project.
